21-Year-Old Lanai Ariyana Dees Fatally Shot in South Los Angeles
Los Angeles, CA–A family is grieving the tragic loss of 21-year-old Lanai Ariyana Dees, who was found fatally shot in her car in South Los Angeles early Sunday morning. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of a shooting around 12:46 a.m. near the 2000 block of Century Boulevard and Wilton Place. When deputies arrived, they discovered Dees in her wrecked vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
As of 10 a.m., no suspect has been identified, and authorities have yet to provide a motive for the shooting. Lanai’s family, devastated by her sudden death, remembers her as a kind and loving young woman.
“She was an amazing person,” her brother, Jordan Dees shared with KTLA5. “She was very sweet and very kind.”
