On Saturday, the Los Angeles Black Worker Center held a press conference and recruiting event at Southwest College with L.A City Councilman Marqueece Harris Dawson.
The Black Worker Center has begun recruitment of Black Workers to participate in their job readiness program Ready 2 Work.
President of the Board of Public Works Aura Garcia, Ready to Work Program Graduate LeRoy Hicks and David Sanders of SEIU 721 were also in attendance.
Following the press conference, people interested in participating in the Ready 2 Work program had the opportunity to participate in the orientation.
At the LABWC, we are passionate about providing a space that is accessible to ALL Black workers. Our goal is to uphold a standard that the accessibility community deserves at ALL programming.
