Councilwoman Heather Hutt to Host Empowering Women’s Event in Leimert

Los Angeles, CA – District 10 Councilwoman Heather Hutt is set to open the doors of the former Macy’s located at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza Saturday, February 17th for “The Love Hutt.”

Hosted by Education is Key Founder Neekko, this free event organized by Councilwoman Hutt is to celebrate and uplift the women of Los Angeles, providing an afternoon for personal growth, meaningful connections, and honoring the pivotal role women play in shaping our communities.

The highlight of the event is the presentation of the prestigious PowHERful Award to remarkable women from Council District 10, recognizing their strength, dedication, and leadership in paving the way for others. Among the distinguished recipients are Actress, Producer, and KJLH Host Tammi Mac, and Dia De Los Muertos Partner and Local Business Owner Jasmine Maldonado of Persona the Shop.

In addition, the finding Our PowHER” Panel: Diverse female leaders, such as Susan Minato (Co-President, Unite Here Local 11), Bamby Salcedo (Translatin@ Coalition), Kellie Todd-Griffin (Founder, CA Black Women’s Collective), Jasmine Maldonado (Business Owner, Persona the Shop), and Krystyl Wright (LCSW/Business Owner, LOT XI), will share their journeys of self-discovery, leadership, and finding their community.

Attendees can unwind with yoga, explore their creativity through art, or shop at the vendor marketplace. They will also enjoy treats, delicious food, and an uplifting atmosphere designed to celebrate and empower women.
