Warrior Con 2026 Invites the Sickle Cell Community to Gather, Heal and Learn in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA — The sickle cell community will gather in Los Angeles July 22-26, 2026 for one of the nation’s largest patient-led conferences as the Sickle Cell Community Consortium (SC3) presents its 13th Annual Warriors Convention (Warrior Con ’26) the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel near LAX.
This year’s convention “Legacy in Action: The Next Move,” will bring together individuals living with sickle cell disease, caregivers, healthcare professionals, researchers, advocates, and community leaders for five days of education, empowerment, wellness, innovation, and celebration.
More than just a conference, Warrior Con has become a national gathering place where the lived experiences of sickle cell warriors meet cutting-edge research, advocacy efforts, and community-driven solutions. Organizers say the event is designed to honor the generations of advocates who have pushed for better care while preparing the next generation to lead the movement forward.
For many families impacted by sickle cell disease, access to information, resources, and community support can be life-changing. Warrior Con creates an environment where attendees can connect with others who understand their journey while learning about new treatments, emerging technologies, and strategies for improving quality of life.
This year’s convention will feature a wide range of programming tailored to different experiences within the sickle cell community, including dedicated tracks for men, individuals with sickle cell trait, youth and teens, and those navigating life after transformative therapies.
Attendees will also have access to sessions focused on leadership development, wellness education, advocacy, and navigating healthcare systems.
One of the convention’s signature attractions is the T3 EXPO (Treatments, Therapies & Technologies), where attendees can engage directly with researchers, healthcare innovators, biotechnology companies, and grassroots organizations working to advance sickle cell care.
The expo serves as a unique opportunity for patients and families to learn about the latest developments in treatment options, research breakthroughs, and technologies designed to improve outcomes for those living with sickle cell disease.
As medical advancements continue to reshape the landscape of sickle cell care, Warrior Con remains committed to ensuring that patients and families have a seat at the table in conversations about the future of treatment and advocacy.
In addition to medical education and advocacy, Warrior Con ’26 will place a strong emphasis on mental health, emotional wellness, and healing. Special sessions will focus on providing practical tools and resources that support emotional resilience, self-care, and overall well-being. Organizers recognize that living with sickle cell disease often impacts every aspect of life, making holistic wellness a critical part of community support.
The convention will also offer family-centered programming designed to strengthen support systems for parents, spouses, siblings, and caregivers who play a vital role in the lives of sickle cell warriors.
The week will culminate with the highly anticipated Kings, Queens & Warriors Royal Ball, a black-tie gala celebrating the accomplishments, resilience, and strength of the sickle cell community. The event provides an opportunity for attendees to come together in an atmosphere of elegance and recognition while honoring individuals and organizations making a difference in the fight against sickle cell disease.
Since its founding in 2014, the Sickle Cell Community Consortium has become a leading national patient-led collaborative focused on amplifying the voices of people affected by sickle cell disease.
By bringing together grassroots organizations, healthcare leaders, researchers, and advocates, SC3 has worked to create meaningful change through education, community engagement, and policy advocacy.

Warrior Con ’26 continues that mission by creating a space where community members can share knowledge, build relationships, and inspire action that extends far beyond the convention itself.
Whether you are living with sickle cell disease, caring for a loved one, working in healthcare, conducting research, or simply looking to support the community, Warrior Con ’26 offers an opportunity to learn, connect, and be part of a movement dedicated to improving lives.
Registration is now open, and organizers encourage community members from across the country to attend a transformative week of empowerment, education, and celebration in Los Angeles.
