TEC Weekend Brings Innovation, Culture, and Connection To Leimert Park

Los Angeles, CA—TEC Leimert is a celebration of tech and entertainment, becoming a vehicle of empowerment and innovation for Black Los Angeles. Their annual Black To The Future Conference continues to serve as a catalyst for groundbreaking ventures and collaborations.

The 2023 Black To The Future conference was held Sep. 22-24, bringing together dynamic individuals across technology, fashion, and media. This three-day gathering, masterfully orchestrated by Tec Leimert, connected Black and Brown entrepreneurs with seasoned industry professionals through immersive workshops and insightful discussions.

The event attracted hundreds of Los Angeles creatives and professionals, all eager to engage in the intersection of technology and culture.

Leimert Park Plaza buzzed with energy as attendees immersed themselves in cutting-edge technological showcases, including the sonic beats of Hip-Hop. The Young Professionals Brunch provided a networking platform for aspiring individuals to connect with leaders in their field.

Rapper Ab-Soul took the stage as the headline performer along with the Live Nation x Femme it Forward Bloom lineup, which included Tiffany Gouche, Rae Khalil, DJ Faucet and DJ Rosegawd.

Etienne Maurice, Founder of WalkGood LA, served as the official event host. WalkGood LA kicked off the TEC Leimert conference by guiding attendees through a meditation and yoga session.

The afternoon saw diverse panels in dedicated spaces, exploring the intersections of Black culture and the future of technology. A Hip-Hop Metaverse Arcade captivated the audience with immersive experiences. At the VIP after party the celebrations continued, fostering connections well into the night.

Panelist at the Black To The Future Conference included Clarissa Reformina, Senior Vice President of Strategy at Raedio, Erin Relford, a Privacy Engineer at Google and Justin Riley Senior Vice President of Operations at Hillman Grad. ( Click Here to see the full lineup!)

The organization is also committed to nurturing local talent, particularly among youth and young adults. TEC Leimert provides internship opportunities through various media and technology companies, opening up a world of possibilities for the next generation.
