Biddy Mason Charitable Foundation Launches Thanksgiving Drive for Foster Youth in L.A
Compton, CA–The Biddy Mason Charitable Foundation is collecting hygiene products and grocery gift cards for foster youth in Los Angeles as part of its annual Thanksgiving celebration. Donations are being accepted now through November 23. All items will be distributed to current and former foster youth at the organization’s Thanksgiving event on November 27, 2025.
The foundation is requesting new toiletries, including toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and other personal care products. This year, the nonprofit is placing a special emphasis on men’s hygiene items due to increased need in the community. Every donation will help young people who often face the holidays without reliable family support.
Since 2013, the Biddy Mason Charitable Foundation has hosted a Thanksgiving gathering to give foster youth and system-impacted families a sense of belonging. Each year, young people come together to share a traditional holiday meal, connect with peers, and receive essential supplies that help them navigate daily life.
“Holidays can be especially difficult for youth without family support and those navigating life during and after foster care,” said Jackie Broxton, president and CEO of the Biddy Mason Charitable Foundation. “This event reminds them they’re not alone.”
Community members can drop off donated hygiene items at any time. A reception basket is located on the front porch of the Biddy Mason Charitable Foundation Center at 2193 W. 25th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90018. Supporters may also donate online at biddymason.com/donate, where contributions will go directly toward hygiene supplies and grocery cards.
