  • PublishedJanuary 15, 2024

Los Angeles, CA—After two and a half years of closure, the iconic Dulan’s on Crenshaw, has officially reopened its doors. Now, returning customers will immediately notice the restaurant’s ambiance has been elevated to a more upscale look. Exterior aesthetics have been updated, along with the expansion of both indoor and outdoor areas. A rear patio is currently under construction designed specifically for special events, which can accommodate close to 100 people.

A nearby nursery school was also acquired and will be transformed into a parking lot.

For nearly three decades, Dulan’s on Crenshaw has been a beloved fixture in South Los Angeles, celebrated for its delicious soul food and deep roots in the Crenshaw community. Founded by Adolf Dulan, the restaurant is now under the stewardship of his son Greg Dulan, who took over the establishment following his father’s passing in 2017.

“We have been there for over three decades, so we have generational customers. We give back, we support. We are active. We are a part of the Crenshaw community, part of the neighborhood.

Dulan’s Inglewood location on Manchester Boulevard continues to thrive, despite challenges faced by their Crenshaw location, which had been closed for renovations since 2021.

The restaurant has attracted not only the local community but also Hollywood elites such as Janet Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor. It has served as a notable pitstop for politicians, including a visit from President Joe Biden.
