Salt-N-Pepa Inducted Into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame In Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA–Grammy Award-winning Hip-Hop group Salt-N-Pepa has made history as the first female group to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, marking a major milestone in music history. Spinderella also made history as the first female DJ inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Formed in 1985, the groundbreaking trio — Cheryl “Salt” James, Sandra “Pepa” Denton, and DJ Spinderella (Deidra Roper) — rose to fame as one of the first female rap groups to achieve mainstream success. Known for their unapologetic themes and bold fashion, Salt-N-Pepa broke barriers in a male-dominated genre and paved the way for generations of women in Hip-Hop.
